In 2001, Ashok and a group of his friends shared a collective dream: to establish a school that would offer quality education to all children, regardless of their background. “We saw so many kids in our hometown without access to good education, and we knew we had to do something,” Ashok recalls. The Birth of a Dream: Meeting the Demand for Affordable Education
In an era with limited access to technology, Ashok faced little competition. They started the school with 200 students and 15 teachers, introducing new ideas like digital classrooms and libraries. “We wanted to provide the best learning environment possible, even with limited resources,” Ashok says. The school’s focus was on making quality education affordable for everyone.
Over the years, the school grew rapidly, reaching over 800 students and gaining recognition for its academic achievements. “Seeing our students succeed and the school grow has been incredibly rewarding,” Ashok shares. Their innovative approach and dedication made a lasting impact on the community, showing that even with modest beginnings, great things can be achieved.
Gaining Trust and Admiration
The initial success of enrolling 200 students was more than just a number; it showed how much the community trusted Ashok. His vision and commitment to education earned him respect and support from the community. “The community believed in our mission, and their trust was crucial for us,” Ashok notes.
This trust helped build a strong relationship between the school and the parents, who were mostly from farming backgrounds. “We knew that building and maintaining this trust was essential for our school’s success,” Ashok emphasizes. This strong bond became the foundation for the school’s lasting connection with the community.

To attract parents in rural surroundings, the school used a creative approach by offering free extra classes beyond regular school hours. They understood the economic challenges faced by the farming community and implemented a minimal fee structure to foster a supportive environment. “We wanted to make education accessible and show parents the value of extra learning support,” Ashok says.
The teachers’ dedication to providing these free extra classes was crucial in shaping the student’s academic progress. “Our teachers went above and beyond to help students succeed,” Ashok highlights. Financial assistance enabled the construction of a new building, allowing the school to accommodate more students. “Varthana’s support was crucial in helping us expand and offer quality education to more children,” Ashok says.
Their active involvement played a key role in making Ashok’s dream a reality. “With Varthana’s help, we could extend our reach and provide better opportunities for students in Ibrahimpatnam,” Ashok explains. This partnership was essential in broadening the impact of the school’s educational mission.

Looking ahead, Ashok aims to add more resources to the school, such as new equipment, buses, and better facilities. “We want to ensure that students get a complete education that helps them prepare for a bright future,” Ashok notes.
His goal is to support students’ overall growth and make sure they have everything they need to succeed. “With hard work and dedication, we’re focused on making a lasting difference in education here in Ibrahimpatnam,” Ashok asserts. This vision shows his commitment to continually improving the school’s impact.
