He faced the challenge of convincing parents, especially those from low-income families, to prioritize education. “I went door to door to spread awareness,” Ramavatar shared. His creative solution, offering free education for one child for every two enrolled, helped overcome obstacles and built a strong community focused on the value of education.
Despite facing competition from established schools, Sharda Secondary Vidhya Niketan welcomed 45 admissions in its inaugural year. The school’s unique selling point became apparent as it consistently produced exceptional results, outshining its counterparts. Ramavatar’s commitment to quality education resonated with parents, drawing them to choose his school for their children’s future.
His forward-thinking mindset led him to collaborate with Varthana, recognizing the need for financial support to improve the school’s infrastructure. With the loan secured, the school made important upgrades, directly boosting enrollment. “We increased our student strength by 50 to 60 due to the improvements funded by the loan,” Ramavatar shared. These enhancements significantly improved the learning environment, attracting more students and ensuring a better educational experience.
