Vanma Neerikshan Babu, Glory High School, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh
In the village of Mangaldas Nagar, Vijayawada, a dedicated teacher, Vanma Neerikshan Babu, turned his dream into reality in 2018. Passion towards education led him to pursue degrees in M.A., B.Ed., and LLB, he always believed that every child deserved a good education, no matter their background. “I wanted to start a school where children could learn without their families worrying about high fees,” he shares with sincerity. That’s how Glory English Medium School began.
For him, education was not just about memorizing lessons but about helping children think, grow, and build a better future. “A school should give children the confidence to believe in themselves and their dreams,” he says with hope.
Starting with just over 100 students in a rented building, the school soon became a place where children felt encouraged to learn, and families saw a brighter future for their kids.

The Challenges and Triumphs
Running a school was never easy, but Neerikshan Babu poured his heart into it. Every challenge tested his patience, but giving up was never an option. “I was not just a school leader. “I became a teacher, promoter, and even a trainer, doing everything I could to keep my students learning and growing,” he says with conviction. With the constant backing of his 20 dedicated teachers, he stood firm, ensuring that parents continued to entrust him with their children’s education.
As the school grew, so did the hopes of many families. Today, Glory English Medium School is a place where 380 children learn and dream freely. “From the very first grade, we make sure students build a strong foundation in English, Telugu, and Hindi. I want them to speak, learn, and dream with confidence,” he says, his voice filled with warmth and hope.
Varthana’s Support: A Turning Point
With the growth of the school, its requirements increased as well. Neerikshan Babu envisioned creating a three-story school that could accommodate more than 400 students. However, turning this dream into a reality was challenging. He required financial assistance, but even more crucially, he wanted someone who genuinely grasped his vision.
“I aimed to establish a space where all children could learn freely, without being constrained by resources or small classrooms,” he expresses. It was at that time that he encountered Mr. Kasi Rao from Varthana. Their discussion went beyond loans; it explored opportunities. “He patiently listened, grasped my challenges, and reassured me that I wasn’t alone,” Neerikshan Babu remembers.
With Varthana’s assistance, he obtained the resources needed to buy land for the school. Their transparent and encouraging approach, coupled with additional advantages such as loan protection and insurance, provided him with the assurance to proceed. Today, while observing the construction of the new school building, he experiences a subtle feeling of satisfaction. “Every brick placed is not merely building; it signifies progress towards a brighter future for my students,” he asserts with resolve.

Looking Ahead: A Vision for Growth
With a new land acquired and the new school structure emerging, Neerikshan Babu’s aspirations extend far beyond a single school. He envisions reaching more children, providing them with the education they rightfully deserve.
“I am determined to establish two additional branches of Glory English Medium School in Ambedkar Nagar and Arundhati Nagar,” he expresses confidently. “All children deserve a space to learn and develop, regardless of their background.”
For him, this journey is not solely focused on managing a school but on transforming lives. “The parents who bring their kids here place their hopes in us. That trust is everything,” he states. “We have put in great effort to provide them with the finest, and we will continue, regardless of the obstacles.”
As he looks to the future, Neerikshan Babu remains committed to his mission, confident that every challenge can be overcome with determination and the right support. His journey is a testament to the power of dreams, hard work, and the impact of quality education in transforming communities.
